WOS Pop-up X KAHRO
Caroline Axell creates sculptural jewelry under the name KAHRO. On November 15–16, she will unveil her WOS pop-up at Hornsgatan 98. WOS spoke with Caroline about her creative journey.
A versatile creator with a background in fashion, art, and interior design, Caroline’s passion for jewelry took flight during her studies at Nyckelviksskolan. Her eye for detail, beauty, and aesthetics brings her artistic vision to life, reflecting a profound understanding of form and proportion.
Jewelry artistry is now Caroline’s primary focus, with a specialty in sculptural rings that serve as both miniature artworks and personal expressions. “My rings are like small sculptures, and I love working with different dimensions,” Caroline explains. Her rings are crafted to fascinate and surprise, offering a three-dimensional effect that allows the wearer to discover new details from every angle. "You should never grow tired of looking at my rings. There should always be something new to discover!"
Each ring is handmade by Caroline, involving a process of sculpting, soldering, and shaping to achieve the perfect balance and style. She crafts the rings from 925 silver, embellishing them with crystals. For Caroline, the act of creation brings a sense of peace and reflection, turning the craft into a form of meditation. "Creating jewelry and working with my hands gives me peace of mind," she explains.
KAHRO – A Tribute to Inner Peace and Self-Worth
The brand Caroline has created, KAHRO, carries two meaningful words: "KAH," which Caroline describes as "the inner self that can never go wrong," and "RO" – a feeling of peace and contentment. She shares that jewelry-making became a lifeline during a period when she needed to rediscover strength and self-acceptance. “My workshop came to life when I needed to find love for myself, strength, faith, and peace. Being present in my own here and now, that is my mindfulness.”For Caroline, jewelry artistry is about creating more than just a beautiful object. Her rings often carry messages and reminders intended to instill self-worth and courage in the wearer. One of her visions is for her jewelry to be accessible to all – young and old, regardless of gender. "The person who wears my jewelry is brave and self-confident, or someone who needs just that. A piece that can give you strength!”
With KAHRO, Caroline frames her artistic expression by blending sculptural design with a personal message. It serves as a reminder that, like the jewelry itself, our inner worlds are both complex and beautiful—deserving of constant attention and care.
On November 15–16, WOS is hosting a pop-up event where artists, creators, and designers will showcase their work for one weekend in the WOS store. Meet the people behind these creations, gather inspiration, and perhaps even find a unique piece to take home.
