Now, we're excited to welcome MJOLKSHAKE to the WOS designer family.
Jewellery That Gives Memories New Life
Founded in 2020 by Josefine Fredrica Neumann, MJOLKSHAKE is a jewellery studio and photographic art project based in Norrköping, Sweden.
Moving between fashion, art, and jewellery design, Josefine explores the relationship between the natural and the artificial. Each piece is a unique meeting of past and present, where second-hand artificial flowers and jewellery are transformed into something entirely new through upcycling.
Every piece is handmade in Sweden, combining a playful aesthetic with a thoughtful approach to design.
From Childhood Memories to Wearable Art
The story of MJOLKSHAKE began with a pair of earrings made from artificial flowers that once decorated the window of Josefine's childhood bedroom.
What was once a small part of her upbringing became something new – a piece of jewellery carrying both history and emotion.
This idea runs through everything she creates. Driven by nostalgia and storytelling, Josefine explores how objects and memories can be given new contexts, meanings, and value.
In 2023, Josefine graduated with a Master's degree in Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Swedish School of Textiles. Her work brings together environmental and social perspectives, using the body as an exhibition space and fashion as a form of artistic expression.
